TTArtisan 100mm F2.8 M42 Lens

I was offered a chance to try this lens out and it's been a lot of fun. I've become really picky with what lenses to accept for review, mostly because of lack of time, but also because I want something that's interesting. And being a good lens isn't necessarily that interesting (although I still have the hardest time saying no to some REALLY nice glass! Maybe there's a future me who has all the time in the world to review everything 🙂 )

But this affordable unassuming lens caught my eye for two reasons. The M42 mount (what??) and a being essentially a cheaper remake of an expensive vintage lens.

Here's more thoughts in my blog post: https://www.snappiness.space/a-modern-take-on-a-vintage-lens-ttartisan-100mm-f2-8/

Here's my video overview: https://youtu.be/AfaXT1M_X1o

And here's some photos with the lens mounted on my Sigma SD10, Olympus E-300 and Pentax K-1.

Curious what you think of this new lens!

Happy snappin' 🙂

For people wanting to see a comparison with the Trioplan, check out this video. It's super similar, so that's a win for people wanting a cheaper option!
