Oh, actually, the real funny thing is that my friend asked if I could use the self-timer on the camera, and I was like... hmm.. in the lighting that we're in, with an ISO that's appropriate, the shutter speed is still going to be too slow, and the focusing will almost certainly be off. (The particular Quattro camera that has a hold on my heart has trained me well enough on the ISO/Shutter front.)

I probably would have tried taking a selfie with it anyway, but I didn't really see a great way of propping the camera up at the right angle. Maybe self-timer + the pop-up flash?!

My other SD1 Merrill question is on batteries. The OEM ones are out of stock, so I'm curious what you're using for any spares or the like.
