Quote from xoQUox on December 10, 2021, 2:44 pmI'm very proud of this waterfall picture. There was not much light in die valley and I only had the ISO 100 film in the 645. But even with the 45mm f2.8 wide open and a shutter speed something below 1/60 i manged to get a somewhat sharp image.

Thank you!
This are the ruins of the antic city Naula near the modern Alanya. The ruins are surrounded by the small city of Mahmutlar. But Turkey has so many old Roman cities that nobody cares for this insignificant little settlement.
This ruin has not been developed for tourism and is used by the locals as pasture for cows and goats.
But I found the contrast between the old ruins and the new hotel and residential complexes very impressive.

Very cool, and agreed it contrasts like you intended! Funny, how something that old can just be pawned off as pasture. That's ancient compared to North American history. Anything that's 150-200 years old, is about the oldest architecture that will you find in the Midwest of the United States. My state wasn't an official part of the US until the 1880's.
