Quote from HeggenDazs on November 5, 2021, 3:38 pmCan't wait to see the shots you get on the North Shore. I'd love to see some good shots of freighters out with the rocks of the shore covered in snow or the Glensheen mansion with a blanket of snow on the lawn. My profile picture was taken on the porch of Glensheen overlooking their bridge, actually, come to think of it.

Before I found the deal I got on my LX100, it was my next choice to pick up. I took my Q out today, set it to monochrome. And just shot away, even though I have far superior bodies, it's just fun at times.
My trip from late October in SE Minnesota, I lugged my Pentax 6x7 with the 55mm F3.5 , and 200mm F4 which has really grown on me. The abandoned barn house and close up of the tractor we're taken on it. The blues just saturated perfectly that day. I'm so in love with the 6x7 of late. I plan on taking it the North Shore of Lake Superior once we get a decent blanket of snow to push some Delta 100 through it to capture the blight of winter in BW. The photos were taken on Portra 160 & Lomo 800, which just happens to be my new favorite medium format film, it's just rebranded Portra 800 for cheaper.
Pentax Q or Leica Q lol.
I might disagree with you a bit about Lomo 800 being rebranded Portra 800. While it's definitely one of my favorite films, especially at its price point, I don't think it's portra. IIRC the consensus online is that it is an 800 variant of Ultramax/Gold/Colorplus which was only sold in disposables. Lomography convinced Kodak to sell it to them in 135, but more importantly to make it in 120 for them.

The Pentax Q lol, shoulda specified more. Some photos from hiking/driving this week. The barn buildings are on the 01 Prime, the dairy bovines are taken with the 06, and the sunset with a Fujinon 6mm C mount cine lens.
Oddly enough, Lomo 800 scans perfectly on my V550 with the Kodak Porta 800 profile, if I do Max 800 it makes it desaturated. But who knows what it really is? I notice that they can be inconsistent roll to roll with their master rolls that they're sourcing too. In the case of my 35mm rolls, it comes out with a reddish tint if I scan it as Portra 800 unless I use the Max Zoom 800 profile. On a final note those shots are the bomb! I remember them from the Olympus TLR video you posted!

Reminds me a lot of the area I grew up 🙂 Lots of cattle and old barns. Really like the black and whites, and the color in that sunset is beautiful!

Quote from James Warner on November 8, 2021, 5:30 pmMore from my Sony F828. It actually has a pretty nice lens sharpness wise, but it has terrible purple fringing. Just awful. Sensor is low resolution. For whatever reason I thought my ISO was climbing but it wasn't and stuck to base ISO 64, so I got a lot of blurry shots this morning trying to handhold low shutter speeds with no stabilization. I'll try some more higher ISO shots and see how those look.

I'm not even totally sure what some of these pipes/knobs/taps are, but it's pretty cool piecing together a location and what it might be used for with these little snippets.
That waterfall shot with the golden leaves is beautiful!

A ton of these shots are of cinema/television equipment such as c-stands, lights, carts, I've uploaded a few of breakout boxes and quad boxes to the flickr as well. I love the look of it all because after a few productions and throwing them around all that equipment gets nice patina.
