Bought a V600 scanner and home development stuff, starting doing my own home film development and scanning. It's really paying off. I rescanned some negatives sent back from the lab and the payoff was huge because their scans were so low quality

Wow what a stark difference.  That's been my experience, I have the V550 and a Plustek  8200.   Lab scans are more of a production line than doing your own in depth scanning.  The process although slow is worth it so much more like you said.

Hopefully your Epson won't be frustrating as mine.  Unfortunately the V550 is plagued by a green scan line on my right side if I do Medium format.  I can use it to scan 35mm just fine.  I've cleaned the sensors and glass to no avail.  Even removing it from the bed and cleaning the inside.

Surprised my girlfriend with a spontaneous trip to Utah, we spent a day in Canyonlands National Park.  The Olympus EM10 II paired with the 12-40 F/2.8, such a fantastic travel setup.  Really love the saturation thats come out of this tiny M43 setup.

Beautiful! Makes you want to pull up a chair and just savor the view, doesn't it?

Here are some from a May 1st visit to the museum. I brought my K-3 and Sigma 17-50 f/2.8, which turned out to be well suited to the task, although I could have done without the heft of it lol.

I thought this display was cool. Neat to have the Olympus in there. 🙂 It's a C-3040 Zoom and has a 3mp sensor. I regret not getting better photos of it, though. It was one of those "hurry up we have to go" quick snaps.

The Portable Photo Studio sign says "Scientists can document the species they find in the field using a portable photo studio. When our curator of amphibians and reptiles journeyed into the rainforests of Peru to study animals there, he and his team discovered species new to science. To get the best data, our curator had to be a great photographer."

Yeaaah, home dev and scan is the way to go. I shot two rolls of 120 with a friend the other day, and it cost 60$ holy crap! Gonna stick to doing as much at home as I can.

Jus wrapped up a trip to Oahu. My first time there. Awesome! So many good things to see and do. We got to play on the beach, surf for the first time, snorkle, and lots and lots of hikes. Here's some highlights of the trip, all taken on my 2013 Ricoh GR.

Cliff jumping that I ended up not doing 🙂 I jumped off something maybe only a fourth of that height and called that good.

Happy snappin' 🙂

Finally a shot I'm happy with taken with my Nikon D80! This is a wind chime that hangs from my side deck. The view in the background is the forest we live next to. Sunset.
