I have a friend who just had his first Barbecue pop-up! I was asked to help out and take some photos they could use for social media etc. Here's a sample of them!

Yep my Ricoh GXR S10 is IR converted, only cost me 50USD from HK 🙂
Today I went for a walk in Middelburg, the Netherlands. A beautiful little town. Great weather to photograph, some clouds and a beautiful blue sky. I always edit my photos to create an atmosphere, so you won't see many JPEGs of me, straight out of the camera. The camera I had with me was the Olympus E30 with the 18-180 lens, so easy on a walk.

Have you guys ever had a similar experience with a camera? Just disliking it for abstract reasons?
Yes - just today with the Olympus E-M1III. It's my most modern camera with the best AF, great lenses, good ergonomics etc. pp. But it's just a very capable piece of technology for me. Grabbing a Pentax DSLR, in particular the K-5IIs or the K-5IIm (K-5II modified to monochrome), the spark of the "I want to photograph something" thought in my head is much brighter.
Perhaps it's not an abstract reason but the different experience - taking sharp, correctly exposed images with mirrorless cameras is a bit easier. The EVF is good but the OVF is more "natural" for me - despite it shortcomings (no information about wrong exposure, live histogram etc.).
I've got a Pentax K-S2 with a fully articulating screen, but I hesitate to use the screen like on mirrorless cameras, because it's a DSLR with an OVF. Ridiculous, I know, but...
