Alright, help me out 😅 What is the great wave? I am intrigued! My first thought is a closeup of some sort of glass art piece.

But if I tell you that ruins the intrigue! Haha. It is indeed a glass artwork. Although, I would find it much more fun to ponder it and all the options it could've been otherwise. Great guess!

Here in the Chicago area we have bald eagles, both migratory and several local yokels.

Shot this one yesterday.  Massive crop and massive edits in LR.

original and edited.

D7200, 300f4, 1.7 converter, a very heavy old tripod . 1/2000 second (due to wind) f8 ISO720.

It looks a bit like Grandpa from the Munsters.

Thanks.  That's just wind.  Regarding the color it's about 3 years old and transitioning into the adult phase.  juvenile eagles are all brown.

Aurora over Creamers Field Wildlife Refuge in Fairbanks, I had just landed and stopped to get a photo on the way to my hotel.  Shot on the LX100 II.

And from my first week back in November, I shot a roll of Ilford 3200 on my Pentax MZ-S, paired with the DA40 Limited, which has no vignetting on full frame/35mm film, even thought it's an APS C lens by design and the Tokina 19-35 F3.5-4.5 Wide Angle.

Really enjoying these shots. Love the grain of those Ilford 3200 shots of the snow. Cool you shot the DA40 on the MZ-S. I really like my 43 for that small size reason. I just recently got some autofocus SLRs to play around with and it's a lot of fun! The AF was a lot better than I expected, though I expected basically nothing.

@heggendazs I like the aperture blade one especially. So much texture on those blades. Looks like a really classy stock photo someone might use in their ted talk xD

This is from my latest video shooting my K10D at max ISO and cleaning up the shots with DxO PureRaw. It's been a slow month so far. My whole family was sick for a few days, got better for 10 days, and now we're sick again with something else. But all's good. Just hanging in there.

Happy snappin' 🙂

Great shots of wildlife, guys! I really love the aurora as well. I wish we got to admire that from further down south.
