Pixartprinting have you ever used it?

Hi guys,

I am thinking on getting a very short run of copies done of a photobook I have created those past days in Lightroom in this website and I was wondering if anyone of you has ever used this website and their services.

Thank you and best regards,

Haven't used it, but following this for any suggestions for book/zine printing. I haven't done it before.

@juanbuhler zine's that I purchased were from https://mixam.com/ and I like how they turned out. Inexpensive, but the paper stock he chose is sturdy and prints look nice.

This is his video about it:

Happy snappin' 🙂

Thank you James,

I just have decided to order a small set of copies there as the company was running a promotion so it's done already!
I will keep the mixam idea in my head for future copies. I see they have a format I would have rather preffered for my albums that is 21cms x  21 cms (or 8,26 inches x 8,26 inches).

A downside I see using mixam for me is that they have only one location in the European continent, and it is in the UK. And right now with the UK non being part of the European Union anymore it means there are borders, and borders mean customs to be payed. So I assume a fee would need to be added a part from the total amount to pay for the copies and shipping costs. Plus the Pound is quite stronger than the euro now, so this is also a downside for me as the price increases for probably the third time (first the money rate, later the shipping and after the import taxes).

Anyways who knows in the future. And maybe it's the way to go.

Right now I have ordered with this Pixartprinting company that is based in Italy, so no money rate involved and no import taxes related which makes me happier.

Shame is, 21x21cms was not elegible and I had to pick 21x29cms (8,26 x 11,41 inches) and I am not so sure I like this as much. But, as said, it's done. So now it is time to seat and wait and see what comes from spinning a coin into the air. Hopefully will be okay-ish and i'll be happy-ish (it doesn't need to be 1000% perfect)

What I've found in the past is that I used a service where they were not specifying the quality of the paper (the grams per page) and later found out that their pages were too thin. So hopefully this won't happen again and the books will look half normal ! (fingers crossed to this xD)

Yeah, share your results when you get them. I'm interesting in all this printing business. I've only ever printed one-off prints.

Sure !

I did one-offs but this time 1 copy was at an expensive cost (50 euros or so). So it was way better to order 10 copies. Then i'll also get some to give away 🙂
