Pentax K-1 and K-3 with DA* 300mm F4 lens for Wildlife
Quote from James Warner on February 11, 2021, 1:23 pmThe DA* 300mm F4 lens is proving to be an amazing lens. I wanted to see how it performed on both my K-1 and K-3, and compare the difference. I am trying to figure out if I really need to keep my K-3 at this point. The good news is the lens performs beautifully on full-frame, even though it's not advertised as such. The bad news is that both cameras have some great benefits, some I didn't even get to cover in my video, and now I still don't know what to do about selling the K-3 😛

Here are some of the pictures I took with both cameras over the course of the last few weeks.

Thanks! I am really enjoying the process of learning what animals are in my area, how to even find them, and then how to get interesting pictures. Just being in nature quietly observing has been really nice. I can see why people really get into this kind of photography 😉
