Minolta, Konica-Minolta Dimage series

I arrived here by way of your YT channel. I noticed none of the Minolta, Konica-Minolta Dimage series are featured (perhaps I overlooked them).

I have used them, 7Hi, A1 and A2, and I think they are worth looking into, CCD sensors, a wonderful 28-200 manual zoom, tilting viewfinder, and IBIS in the A1 (the first ever) and A2.

I, for one, would like to see some YT videos about these often overlooked digitals.

I have a DiMAGE Z5 I think it was the first superzoom I ever used. Was originally my dads camera but eventually I saved it from going to the e-waste. The rubber grip fell of and I had to glue it back on also batteries leaked inside at some point. It required some love but it should still work today and must be like 20 years old now.

I cant remember it for certain but I think it has decent macro which probably was the reason I got interested in taking pictures of insects.
Has anti-shake (IBIS) which ever since became something I don't want to miss in a camera.
And it take SD cards and standard batteries or NiMH which is a huge benefit today.

I did have the Minolta A2 (in my quest to own all those 8mp bridge cameras from that era) and really liked it. I should have made a video on it, but I just get really swamped with projects and cameras (as you can tell from this late reply, LOL).

That just means it's more of a hidden secret for now until I get around to talking about it 🙂 I haven't used the others yet though.

Happy snappin' 🙂
