How "Normal" are Stuck Pixels on New Cameras?
Quote from Cory Maben on June 14, 2024, 9:07 pmI recently picked up a used Sigma fp and I was messing around with it to discover that it has a handful of stuck pixels at high ISO, which are visible in dark areas. The camera released in Oct. 2019, so at most it's like 4.5 years old. I've known that pixel issues where common in older cameras, but I assumed that was due to the age of the camera. Is it reasonable to have hot pixels in a new camera? I'm trying to decide if I should exchange it, or if it is normal for all cameras to have some amount of stuck pixels regardless of age/usage?
