Fujifilm Finepix S2 Pro and Northern MN.
Quote from SpruceBruce on September 17, 2021, 6:03 amI’d never thought that this 6MP super CCD sensor could pull off such great photos, paired with a Nikkor 28-80 kit lens. Feels great to be home after spending the last 13 days away from home for work. These were taken on the way up to Bemidji, Minnesota to hang with my girlfriend’s Dad before he retires in Europe. Stopped at an old farmstead, gas station, and the Gulch Chain of Lakes in the Paul Bunyan State Forest to do some fly fishing.

Is there any postprocessing done on these images?

Quote from James Warner on September 17, 2021, 1:15 pmI agree, the colors look really nice in these photos. You found some fun subject matter out there. Love it all as a set together.

Quote from SpruceBruce on September 17, 2021, 2:48 pm@beau-carpenter I shot them in Raw a half stop overexposed and then lifted the shadows just a tad and dropped the highlights alot. It definitely doesn't like white highlights more than shadows for such an old sensor, there's some added contrast and dehaze as well. Didn't change the color profile or white balance at all, those are SOOC.
@james-warner-b The patina and texture of the old barns and tin were the perfect saturation of color for this experiment. I'm so excited with the results, it definitely got the creative juices flowing. I'm looking at my KP and Z50, heck even my 6x7 wondering why do I need to spend all my money on them to get good results. Although I get the resolution trade off aspect of it, I'm going to do a few experimental prints when I get home. I packed the Tamron 150-600 with me, going to try to push it today if I get lucky and see some wildlife. Have you tried shooting B&W with your *ist D? It punches so very well too. Just a few sample shots.

@sprucebruce Thanks for the walk through on the shooting/editing process. Great job on exposing and editing! I'm always curious to hear how people create an image from beginning to end.
