Canon Snappy TX Macro
Quote from SpruceBruce on April 29, 2021, 9:54 pmI picked up this early 90s PnS for free, well my girlfriend actually did. She nabbed it from a free box curbside, one morning while walking our ever scent driven Beagle. It has a fixed 38mm F3.5 lens, there's a dipswitch on the bottom which allows you to select a ISO of 100/200 or 400. The shutter is at a fixed 1/125 of a second, and adjusts the aperture to F3.5, F8, F11, and F16 from what little I've been able to find online. It's not the sharpest by any means but it was fun to just snap away a landscape with it's plastic viewfinder on a sunny day. It really struggles indoors and lowlight even with the flash. None of my exposures with the flash didn't come out at all, and once in a while the shutter got stuck.

On a side note, if you're ever in the Twin Cities, do visit. It's a photographers paradise and free, although a donation is kindly suggested. Filmed used was Ilford HP5 Plus 400. I feel like the 400 ISO and BW make the lens shine much more. Since I'm assuming it's shooting at F11 or F16 much more.

This is kinda fun. The last time I shot a film P&S was as a kid, and since getting back into film photography have strictly stayed away from them. Especially those that are as auto as this with less control. But you got some great pics. And it looks like a great time taking them. Maybe I'll dig around my family's place and even find the one I used to shoot with. That would be a cool project.

Quote from Guest on April 30, 2021, 4:12 amYeah I feel as if it's a done and one deal for the most part with this. I would have never paid for it for sure. At least 60% of the shots are unusable. It's definitely a wide open sunny day camera.

Well the thoughts you did share were very cool. I really like the sunny ones in the snow.
